Upstairs
The Henrdix house feels very reminiscent of a Joseph Eichler home you might find in California’s Bay Area. It can be characterized by huge windows, clean lines, indoor-outdoor living, open-air foyers, natural light, and an open living space. These design choices were very counter to the prevailing designs of the day, but are hugely influential in today’s modern home architecture.
The kitchen features original St. Charles steel cabinetry throughout, with Robin’s egg blue powdercoated interiors.
The rough-cut Kasota limestone floors were quarried from Mankato Minnesota and are fitted together with no grout for a superbly clean and natural feel.
The dividing wall that separates the kitchen from the main living space doubles as incognito storage.
